To ensure safe, legal and responsible waste disposal, there are certain items that are either restricted (can be removed with additional disposal costs) or hazardous (cannot be removed).
This page explains what we can and can’t take, and why some items require special handling.

Restricted Items (Additional Disposal Costs May Apply)

The following items can usually be removed, but may incur additional charges due to specialist disposal or recycling requirements:

  • Fridges and freezers

  • Mattresses

  • Tyres

  • Upholstery

  • Mixed construction or renovation waste

Any additional costs will always be discussed and agreed before work begins.

Hazardous Items We Cannot Remove

For safety and legal reasons, we are unable to remove the following hazardous materials:

  • Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials

  • Chemicals, solvents, fuels or oils

  • Gas Bottles

  • Paints, varnishes and liquid waste

  • Plasterboard

  • Medical, clinical or biohazard waste

  • Pressurised containers not declared in advance

  • Human or animal faeces

  • Any waste that poses a serious health or safety risk

If hazardous items are discovered on-site that were not declared beforehand, removal may be refused for safety reasons.
